To understand what drives our vision, mission and goals, we have to first take careful note that mental health disorders are a serious problem affecting millions of people worldwide. According to the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (2017), this includes anxiety disorders, which affects around 284 million people. A further problem is access to treatment, as surveys in England conducted by the NHS in 2016, found that only 1 in 8 people were receiving treatment for their mental health problems.
